Apple Crisp
4
cups sliced or 6 medium-sized apples, |
Topping: |
peeled
and sliced |

Tbsp Brown Sugar Twin |

tsp nutmeg |

cup Oats |
1/4
tsp cinnamon |

tsp cinnamon |

Tbsp lemon juice |

Tbsp smart buttery spread |
1/2
cup Splenda granular |
2
Tbsp chopped walnuts |
1/2
tsp cornstarch |

Preheat
oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice apples into
lemon juice and toss. Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, Splenda
and cornstarch. Sprinkle over apples and toss. Put
apples into small Pam-sprayed casserole or baking
dish. In a small bowl combine Brown Sugar Twin, oats
and cinnamon. Cut in Smart Balance. Add walnuts and
sprinkle or press over apples. Bake at 375 for 30
minutes or until topping is slightly browned.
Variation 1: use margarine instead of Smart Balance
Variation 2: Add 1/2 cup dried cranberries to the
apples before sprinkling on the topping
Makes 4 servings.
